About Rheumatology
Rheumatic diseases affect joints, ligaments, bones and muscles. Specialty pharmacies like Alphascript help patients manage chronic rheumatic conditions including rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis.
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an inflammatory disorder that affects the lining of the joints, which results in painful swelling and can cause joint deformity.
Ankylosing spondylitis is an inflammatory disorder that causes the spinal vertebrae to fuse over time. This limits flexibility and mobility and can result in a hunched posture. In some cases, ribs are affected which can make it difficult to breathe.
We’re here to help.
